Future-Preneurs Zambia (FPSZ), with support from ActionAid Zambia, has conducted Capacity-Building Trainings on Community Leadership, Negotiation and Advocacy in Mufulira, Chambishi, Chingola, Kasempa and Kalumbila.

The trainings brought together Natural Resource Governance Committee (NRGC) members, media representatives and persons with disabilities. Participants gained practical skills to engage duty-bearers, articulate community priorities, negotiate for community interests and advocate for transparency, accountability and inclusive decision-making.

The involvement of diverse groups reinforced a key message: communities, especially those often marginalised, must have real opportunities to influence decisions affecting their land, rights, livelihoods and environment. The trainings form part of the “Empowering Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities for Climate Justice in Zambia’s Mining Regions – Phase II” project, supported by ActionAid Zambia. Through these engagements, FPSZ continues to help communities move from awareness to participation, from participation to collective agency, and from agency to meaningful influence.
